Cole woke up this morning and to my surprise there was a tooth poking through! I knew they were there but didn't think they would break through for awhile! It's on the bottom right and the one right next to it will probably come through this week! He has been such a great baby with those two teeth hiding down there, not too crabby or fussy and no fevers! Hopefully all of the teething will go this well!
I am packing to get ready for our drive down to Sioux Falls! Looking forward to seeing everyone back home! Only an hour left so I better finish!

Ewwwww
Since Jason and Cole are both napping I figured I could get on and write for a few minutes, so much for all the cooking I was going to do! As for our day today we just found out there is a big recall on Similac powdered formula and of course it is the kind we use for Cole. The website recall says that certain lots of the powdered formula are tainted with beetles and their larvae. Both of which I was disgusted by, the website says it can cause stomachaches and babies could refuse food, so with some calling and running around I found that we could by the liquid and return the powdered to any store that sells it and get a full cash refund. I would rather the formula just not have bugs in it!
We are looking forward to our trip back to Sioux Falls in two days, and Jason and I are looking forward to getting our engagement pictures done as well! We have an amazing photographer and cannot wait to see how the pictures turn out! Both of my babies are waking up now so I should go make food for at least one of them!

Dada
Cole decided once again to not do what I wanted him to do, he started saying dada even with all the hours of practicing saying mama! He can get the mmmmmmm sound down but hasn't figured out to open his mouth and let the (ah) out. So I told Jason every time he wants something and says dada guess who get's to do it! He looks so cute saying though that I can't help but want to hear the dada anyway. We have set a date for his baptism it will be October 10th, 2010 at 10:30am at Sharon Lutheran church! (And yes I picked 10-10-10 for a reason, I think it's a cool date!) Looking forward to all of our out of town visitors who we don't normally get to see come and visit us for the weekend!

Happy Birthday Becca!
Happy 24th birthday to my sister Becca! Cole, Jason and I can't wait to celebrate next weekend with you! I am posting a few pictures of the sign Cole and I made for you, there is a series because he did like holding the sign for about 6 seconds before he decided to see how it tasted! Hope you like them Bec! Love you!

Life as we know it
So I have decided to start a blog. There are a few reasons I have decided to do so but the main reason is for all of the important people in our life who do not get to see Cole grow up and reach all of his milestones. I also want to be able to look back and have a written recollection of this crazy and amazing time of our life!
I will just catch everyone up on the past few months, Cole will be five months old on September 27th and I can't believe just how fast this time has gone, I have decided that time speeds up ten fold once you have a child and I am already dreading the first birthday, first day of school and in eighteen years the last day! I know I am getting ahead of myself but if the next 18 years go as fast as the past five months have it will be here in the blink of an eye! Anyways Cole learned to roll over 2 days after his four month check up which was August 30th, his pediatrician asked me if was rolling and I said no, knowing that he needed to start even though he had no desire at the time to roll so we started practicing and low and behold 2 days later he just decided to do it (and hasn't stopped since!) He likes to show us he has a mind of his own and will do everything on his own time. Which is also why he decided to wait until 41 weeks and 1 day to come into this world! He loves to laugh and finds everything funny especially when I say mama to him, we practice each day because I am determined to have him say mama first, for some reason he also finds the word duck very funny.
As for Jason and I, we have been busy packing, moving, packing and moving two times in the last month! It has been a crazy month with school starting for me and life has been very hectic! I am back at UND and hope to be done next year, I say next year because I do not know if it will be May, Aug or Dec of 2011 but it will be sometime next year! I really do like school and find it much more fun than working for a living however Jason does not find the idea of me going to school forever appealing. I have no idea why!
Well that should get everyone caught up for now, I will try to keep up with posting at least 3-4 times a week!
**The title of the blog is from a song by Carolyn Dawn Johnson called "Life as we know it" the chorus describes our life perfectly right now which is why I picked it:
"Life as we know, it's going good. That's an understatement it's going better than I ever though it could, never been so happy, so content. Oh I wish I could freeze this moment, life as we know it, now."
